Which tillage roller is right for your soil?
The roller determines the working depth, crushes clods, and compacts the soil. A 600 mm tandem U-ring roller is standard; other options are available at an additional cost. The roller's working depth is adjusted hydraulically from the tractor cab.
For an additional fee
KRAKER disc shaft 600 mm
A heavy sheet metal roller. Its shape allows for deep soil compaction and creates a texture that improves water uptake. It breaks up clods and levels the surface – it cuts clods well in drier soils.
Catalog: Kraken shaft included in the price of the machine
For an additional fee
Front knife shaft
A drum with sharp knives, mounted in front of the disc section, cuts long stalks of crop residue lengthwise before they reach the discs, accelerating biomass decomposition and humus formation. Indispensable in difficult stubble fields.

How does the ATOS TYTAN disc harrow work?
Weighing from 7000 to 7800 kg, the harrow is ideal for no-tillage systems, deep stubble cultivation, wasteland reclamation and intensive mixing of large amounts of crop residues (e.g. corn or rapeseed).
TYTAN is equipment for demanding farmers and large farms looking for an uncompromising machine with high stability that can handle breaking up the hardest clods and working in difficult conditions.

The machine is equipped with high-quality, Italian-made 610 mm diameter discs. Thanks to their large diameter and aggressive profile, the TYTAN effortlessly handles massive amounts of crop residue, corn, or wasteland reclamation, ensuring deep and effective soil penetration even in the harshest conditions.

As standard, the machine can be equipped with a Kraken roller (sheet metal) or the advanced U-RING Tandem system. The double U-ring roller guarantees the best possible secondary compaction and surface leveling. The unique design allows the rings to fill with soil, protecting them from excessive wear and preventing clogging in wet conditions.

Full control over operating parameters is provided by hydraulics. The ability to adjust the drawbar and roller working depth from the cab allows for rapid adaptation of the harrow to changing field conditions and facilitates maneuvering on headlands, ensuring perfect machine leveling.

Despite its enormous weight (up to 7800 kg), the TYTAN is mobile and safe. It is equipped with a central transport trolley with 520 mm diameter wheels and a pneumatic brake. This allows for stable and legal road travel without excessive load on the lift and tractor axles.

To ensure a perfectly flat field surface without "locks" at the joints, the harrow is equipped with active side screens. An additional advantage is the ability to adjust the disc convergence, which allows for precise machine positioning to eliminate pullback and ensure full undercutting across the entire working width.

ATOS TYTAN disc harrow – questions and answers
The TYTAN harrow is a machine for the most demanding agricultural tasks. It is primarily used for deep stubble cultivation, effortlessly breaking up heavily cloddled soil, reclaiming agricultural wasteland, and intensively mixing large amounts of crop residue (e.g., corn). Due to its enormous weight, it is ideal for no-tillage systems.
Because the TYTAN is a heavy-duty harrow (weighing between 7000 and 7800 kg), it requires an engine with sufficiently high traction power. For a 5,0 m working width, the minimum requirement is 200 hp, while for the 6,0 m version, a tractor with at least 250 hp is required.
The larger diameter of the discs (in this case, high-quality Italian discs with an aggressive profile) allows for much deeper soil penetration and efficient cutting through tough, thick shoots, such as corn or rapeseed residue. Farmers on forums often emphasize that the smaller discs can "float" over stubble, while the 610 mm diameter easily penetrates even dry, difficult terrain.
No. AMJ AGRO designers used maintenance-free steel hubs (LTP), which feature multi-stage sealing. These eliminate the need for daily lubrication, significantly saving the farmer time and preventing bearing seizure when working in dusty environments.
Yes, despite its considerable weight, the machine is fully mobile and road-legal. It is equipped with a central transport trolley with wide 520 mm diameter wheels and an air brake. A braking axle and standard LED lighting ensure complete safety during transport.
Each disc is mounted on reinforced HD (Heavy Duty) rubber shock absorbers. This system provides overload protection, proven in difficult soils, allowing the discs to deflect if they encounter a rock and immediately return to their preset working position.
The choice depends on the soil type. The Tandem U-RING roller (double) with U-shaped rings fills with soil during operation, creating a friction effect between the soil and the ground, which protects it from rapid wear and prevents clogging in wet conditions. The Kraken roller (sheet metal), on the other hand, cuts clods well in slightly drier soils. Both rollers provide excellent soil compaction, protecting the field from moisture loss.
Mechanical adjustments can be very difficult in heavy harrows. The TYTAN harrow utilizes full hydraulics. Working depth adjustment (via cylinders on the roller) and drawbar adjustment are fully controlled from the tractor cab. This facilitates rapid adjustments while driving and simplifies headland turns.
To ensure a perfectly level field surface, the machine is equipped with active side screens as standard. These screens retain soil thrown by the outer discs, preventing the formation of mounds at the edge of the pass.
Heavy harrows with a high angle of attack can affect the tractor's trajectory. However, AMJ AGRO has incorporated the ability to adjust the convergence and angle of attack of the discs. This allows for precise calibration of the set to eliminate tractor pull and achieve a full, uniform cut at a width of 5 or 6 meters.
According to experts, this type of equipment performs best at speeds of around 10-15 km/h. According to the manufacturer's specifications, at a speed of 10 km/h, the 5-meter model has a throughput of 5,0 ha/h, and the 6-meter model has a throughput of 6,0 ha/h.
Yes, a "front knife roller" is available as an optional extra for the TYTAN model. This device cuts crop residue along long stalks before it is mixed in by the disc section, dramatically accelerating the process of decomposition and humus formation.
No, because AMJ AGRO is a Polish manufacturer, customers have constant, direct access to service and a full catalog of spare parts available on their website. This eliminates the problem of long downtimes during the harvest and cultivation seasons, a problem often faced by owners of Western machines.
