Which tillage roller is right for your soil?
The roller determines the working depth, breaks up clods, and compacts the soil. A 500 mm tubular roller is standard; other options are available at an additional cost. The stated weight is for the entire 2,5 m PORTO unit with the roller.

Construction of the generator PORTO 250
Equipped with 8 Delta Flex legs (teeth) made of high-quality steel. Each leg has a NON STOP hydraulic protection, which additionally allows for adjustment of the pressure force.
Shallow and deep tillage
A no-till agricultural unit used for both shallow and deep cultivation.
Covering discs
The PORTO 2.5 no-tillage unit is also equipped with 1 row of harrowing discs (7 pieces) and, in the basic version, with a tubular roller (other roller models are optional).
Robust construction
A solid frame made of massive sections and high-quality steel works in the toughest conditions.
Powder varnish
The entire structure is powder-coated, and the actuators have a thick chrome coating.

How does the 2.5m no-tillage cultivator work?
A robust agricultural machine designed for shallow and deep tillage without the use of a plow. It is used for intensive soil loosening and precise mixing of crop residues.
From the tractor cab, the operator can smoothly adjust the downforce and working depth of the tines and rear roller, which significantly facilitates work on varied soil conditions.
This is an ideal solution for farmers who want to move away from traditional plowing, saving time, fuel and protecting the soil from drying out.

Behind the tine section is a row of 460 mm diameter discs mounted on rubber shock absorbers. Their function is to precisely level the field surface and thoroughly mix the organic matter. The shock absorbers protect the discs from damage and ensure perfect ground contouring even at high working speeds.

The leveling discs are equipped with high-quality, maintenance-free steel hubs. The hermetic seal eliminates the need for lubrication, significantly reducing operating costs and machine readiness time. The use of steel in the hub construction guarantees their resistance to impacts and cracks.

For the most demanding users, we've prepared the option of carbide-reinforced chisels (mounted with two screws). This technology significantly increases the abrasion resistance of the cutting elements, allowing for consistent working depth and high-quality tillage for a much longer period than with standard components.

PORTO 250 no-till cultivator – questions and answers
The PORTO 250 is an agricultural machine created by Polish manufacturer AMJ AGRO, designed for loosening and cultivating soil without the need to turn the furrow (without using a plow). It is ideal for both shallow tillage (e.g., stubble cultivation) and deep tillage, effectively mixing crop residues with the soil.
Due to its design and resistance, the PORTO 250 unit requires a tractor with a minimum power of 125 HP. Ultimate requirements may be higher depending on the weight of the selected tillage roller and the characteristics of the soil being cultivated in a given field.
The working width of this model is 2,5 meters. At an assumed average operating speed of 10 km/h, the unit can cultivate approximately 2,5 hectares of field in one hour.
The machine is designed to enable deep loosening of the soil (up to 30 cm), which helps eliminate harmful plough pans and improve water retention, or to perform shallower surface work (10-15 cm) while retaining moisture.
The heart of the PORTO model is the innovative NON-STOP hydraulic safety device on each of the eight working tines. This feature allows the tine to smoothly deflect upon encountering an obstacle (e.g., a large rock) and then automatically and instantly return to the correct depth. This protects the machine from overload and eliminates downtime.
In its standard configuration, the unit has eight legs equipped with DELTA FLEX tines, which perfectly mix organic matter with soil. Optionally, narrow working elements or HORSCH tines can be used for even more aggressive cultivation.
Behind the row of tines is a section of six 460 mm diameter discs. Their function is to thoroughly mix organic residue and precisely level the loosened soil before the tillage roller. They are mounted on rubber shock absorbers, protecting them from damage during high-speed driving.
The basic weight of the machine starts at approximately 1180 kg (with string roller) and 1250 kg (with classic tubular roller). However, this weight increases depending on the selected final roller, reaching up to 1670 kg (when using the heavy 550 mm Crosskill roller).
Maintenance on the PORTO 250 has been minimized for the farmer's convenience. For example, the disc harrows feature high-quality, maintenance-free steel hubs with a hermetic seal. This eliminates daily greasing, saving time, and lowering service costs.
The manufacturer has equipped this unit with a convenient hydraulic system. From the tractor cab, the operator can quickly adjust the downforce and adjust the working depth of the tines and roller. This is an invaluable convenience in fields with varied soil mosaics.
The basic version is equipped with a tubular roller, which performs well in light soils. If your soil is compact or lumpy, you can configure your unit and choose from several custom options, such as a T-bar roller, a roof roller, a heavy-duty Packer roller, a Kraker disc roller, or a tandem U-RING.
Like any machine working with soil, chisels eventually wear out (typically, replacement occurs after 150-300 hectares per set, depending on the soil). To significantly extend their life, AMJ AGRO offers special carbide-reinforced chisels (mounted with two screws) as optional extras, which are characterized by much higher friction resistance.
Switching to a ploughless system with AMJ AGRO reduces soil erosion, promotes water storage, and protects the soil from drying out by leaving a layer of straw "mulch." Above all, however, this method combines multiple stages—from tillage to seedbed preparation—in a single pass, saving farmers time and significantly reducing fuel consumption.
